What we believe

Jesus at the center.

Jesus is the center of what we believe, who we're becoming, and how we live. We look to his life and teachings to show us what God is like and what it looks like to live as his people. Together, we're learning to trust Jesus, become like Jesus, and live the way of Jesus in everyday life.

01
The Triune God
There is one God, Creator of all things, who is perfect in every way and eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Deuteronomy 6:4; Revelation 4:11; Matthew 5:48; Matthew 28:19

02
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, he lived without sin, died in our place for our salvation, and rose bodily from the dead. He now reigns as Lord and will come again to make all things new.

Philippians 2:6–11; Luke 1:34–38; 1 Peter 3:18; Romans 5:9; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Hebrews 8:1; Isaiah 9:6–7

03
Scripture
The Old and New Testaments are inspired by God and, as originally given, are without error. Together, they reveal God's purposes for salvation and are our final authority for Christian faith and life.

2 Peter 1:20–21; 2 Timothy 3:15–17

04
Sin & our need
Humanity is created in God's image and deeply loved by him, yet sin has fractured our relationship with God, with one another, and with creation. All of us are affected by sin and need the reconciliation and new life that only God can give.

Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; 2 Corinthians 5:18–19

05
Salvation by grace
Salvation is God's gift, made possible through Jesus Christ and received by grace through faith. As we repent and trust in Jesus, we are forgiven, made new by the Holy Spirit, and welcomed into God's family with the gift of eternal life. Salvation is never something we earn; it is God's grace freely given.

1 John 2:2; Romans 3:21–24; Titus 3:4–7; Colossians 1:13; Romans 8:14–16; John 1:12

06
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is fully God and lives in every believer. He guides, teaches, gifts, and empowers us, producing his fruit in our lives and forming us to become more like Jesus. The Spirit also empowers us to participate in God's work in the world and draws people toward truth, repentance, and new life.

John 14:16–18; John 16:7–13; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11; Galatians 5:22–23

07
The Church
The Church is the family of God's people, joined together in Christ and sent into the world as his people. Together, we worship God, learn from scripture, pray, share life, proclaim the good news of Jesus, make disciples, and practice baptism and the Lord's Supper.

Ephesians 1:22–23; Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 2:41–47

08
Resurrection & hope
Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly, the dead will be raised, and God will make all things new. Those who are in Christ will share eternal life with him in his restored creation. This hope shapes how we live right now too.

Luke 21:27; Titus 2:11–14; 1 Corinthians 15:20–23; Revelation 21:1–5

09
Our mission
God sends his people into everyday life to love our neighbors, make Jesus known, and make disciples who follow him with their whole lives. We join God's work near and far, bearing witness to the good news of Jesus from our neighborhoods to the ends of the earth.

Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 1:8; John 20:21; Matthew 22:37–39
